Acne is one daunting facial disorder that comprises a lot of symptoms. Acne is typified by the emergence of black heads, white heads, red pimples and more other skin disruptions. Acne is extremely irritating because it is a facial disorder, which means it is apparent to every single person. Acne can cause a lot of social problems, such as lack of confidence or relationships avoidance. In order to prevent acne from occurring you ought to protect your skin from what might cause acne. Acne is caused by excess usage of makeup and improper toning of the skin, exposure to intense dirt and failure to clean and moisturize the skin, exposure to extreme humidity or prolonged exposure to chemicals. However, when acne occurs you should also give your skin very good acne skin care.
A patient should wash his/her face with a very mild soap very well, twice a day only. He should wash his scalp (hair) very well, especially if he/she posses oily hair. Moreover, acne patients should NEVER scratch or play in any of the pimples because this would contribute to further dispersal of pimples and skin irritation. Also acne patients should try to diminish their skin’s exposure to chemicals such as heavy cosmetics and creams.

When people think about image, they think fashion, style, what’s in, what’s out. The truth is, image is not only about fashion. It’s about clothing, grooming, verbal and non-verbal communication - and how these parts can be put together to communicate your intention clearly. Since you are likely to receive news about fashion trends from magazines and TV shows, I will share with you in this article grooming tips instead, specifically for the face and head - details that people may not think too much about, but do affect your image greatly. Many little details put together become a general picture about a person - whether a person is powerful, wealthy, sexy, spiritual, or not.
Let’s start with the nose. Make sure the nostrils are clean before you step out of the door. If you have allergies, keep tissues and a pocket mirror with you always.
Facial hair. It is fine for men to have facial hair, as long as the hair is neatly trimmed, and free of debris. Make sure it is of a shape that complements the face. Think about the message your hair is communicating. Facial hair on a woman, however, is not a pleasant sight, as it is not associated with being feminine. I have seen too many women with a soft moustache. Pluck them. Wax them off. Shave them. You want people to see you and listen to you, not distracted by your hair.
Keep the hair on your head clean. It seems so simple, wash it when it is dirty. But so many people have been bought by the myth of not washing the hair every day to keep them from falling out, or that daily washing is too drying for the hair. Different people have different needs - some need to wash their hair daily; some twice a week. Run your fingers through your hair. If it’s not silky smooth, it’s time for a wash.
Now comes the breath. It is not as simple as popping into your mouth a breath mint or gum. I’m sure you have experienced someone talking to you with bad breath covered with mint - the bad breath is still detectable. The breath mint and gum are bad camouflage. Bad breath has much to do with the body’s condition. If your body is healthy, your breath is clean. Vice versa. Some foods may cause bad breath. So, when you are to meet someone important, cut down your intake of sugar, dairy and white bread. Do make sure you eat something though, as hunger may cause bad breath as well. It doesn’t hurt to brush your teeth and tongue before going to an important meeting.
All in all, take care of the little details of grooming. Who you are comes through not only from your words, but also how you look.

Body piercing literally means making a hole in a part of the human body with the purpose of wearing jewelry in the opening created. After a process of healing, a fistula will be created. This is an abnormal ‘passageway’ in your body or skin so that there’s a genuine ‘hole’.
Body piercing Methods
* Needle Method (Standard)
The most common method used in the United States to make a piercing is with a medical hollow needle. The needle makes an opening in the skin you want to have pierced but doesn’t go all the way through. The jewelry then is inserted and follows the needle back. It’s necessary to insert the jewelry immediately to hold the slit the needle made open. The needle method doesn’t involve removing any flesh (some methods do). The opening is always made with a needle larger than the initial jewelry to be worn. This is done to reduce the pressure on the healing piercing, giving it more room to heal and allow a fistula to form.
* Piercing Guns
Piercing guns are gun-shaped devices that mechanically makes the piercing by forcing a stud through the body part. You can compare it with a stapler.
This method is often used by non-professional piercers and mostly to pierce holes in the earlobes. You should avoid this method because the piercing gun is hard to sterilize. The risk is infection and transmission of bulletproof pathogens.
* Cannula Method
The cannula method is similar to the standard method. The difference is that at the end of the needle there’s a cannula (a hollow plastic tube) where the piercer puts in the jewelry. So at the piercing process, the cannula and the jewelry is entirely pulled through the opening. This method is often used in Europe.
* Scalpel method
When you want an opening for a large gauge body piercing, a medical scalpel can be used to make a slit. This method is often used for large gauge ear piercings. It’s also used to correct an asymmetry for example if the ear piercing on one side is larger than the other because of an incorrect placement.
When you don’t want your piercing anymore and you remove the jewelry, the fistula will not shrink or close from itself. The only solution there is surgically.
* Pierce and Taper
This method is for larger gauge piercings and only works on body parts where the skin is very elastic. It’s similar to the standard method, but after the hole is pierced with the needle, the piercer inserts a tapered steel bar (one of larger gauge then the needle) in order to make the opening bigger. The jewelry is directly inserted, following the tapered bar.
* Dermal Punching
Piercings in the upper ear require removal of skin and cartilage to lift the pressure of the piercing and guarantee a longer viability of the piercing. Therefore, a dermal punch is used to remove a circular area of tissue, where the jewelry will be worn. Like scalpelled piercings, the healed fistulas will not shrink or close on their own.

Cosmetic surgery is now so common, it’s almost commonplace. Cosmetic surgical procedures are used to correct everything from disfigurements that are the result of an accident to physical features that are perceived to be less than perfect. In some cases, cosmetic surgery can help to correct not only a physical trait but help to raise a person’s self-esteem as well.
There are a number of different cosmetic surgery options. The most common cosmetic surgical procedures involve redefining some aspect of the body, while others involve enhancing the skin through a variety of measures. Liposuction is a very popular cosmetic surgery option. This procedure allows the physician to suction the fat off various portions of the body to reveal slimmer and trimmer physique.
Rhinoplasty is a cosmetic surgery procedure in which the nose is reshaped. Some patients request this surgery because they perceive their nose to be either too big or an unattractive shape. In other cases, the procedure may be necessary to help a patient breathe better.
Implants is a term that is used frequently in regard to cosmetic surgery, however; besides it’s obvious application to the breast area implants are also used to enhance other body parts. The chin and cheekbones are two areas where are implants are frequently used to redefine a patient’s profile.
There are a variety of cosmetic surgery procedures that can be done to enhance the breast area. Implants are used frequently to increase a patient’s bust size. While the subject of breast implants received much bad press several years ago due to the fact that silicone breast implants were proven to be unsafe, the products used today are considered to be much safer. Lifts are often necessary to correct breasts that sag and droop. Augmentation may be utilized in order to align the breasts so that they are the same size when there is a situation where one breast is smaller than the other.
While some patients wish to undergo cosmetic surgery in order to increase their bust size, others have a breast reduction in order to reduce their breast size. This is often necessary when a woman has very large breasts that may cause health issues such as back pain and strain on the neck and shoulders.
The cosmetic surgery frequently referred to as a tummy tuck is similar to liposuction in that it removes excess fat from the area around the stomach and waist. Patients who have lost significant amounts of weight may find it necessary to have this procedure performed as well as an arm lift or buttock/thigh lift. When an individual loses large amounts of weight, particularly at a rapid rate, the skin generally begins to sag and no amount of exercise is able to tone the sagging skin. These types of cosmetic surgical procedures can tighten the skin.
While there are a variety of cosmetic surgery options available today that can correct almost any skin or body problem, it is important for patients to have realistic expectations. First, some cosmetic surgeries will leave permanent scars. The prospective patient must weigh the advantages and disadvantages of having a permanent scar against living with the issue that drove them to consider surgery. Secondly, it is very important that the patient realize that cosmetic surgery does not produce overnight results. Some surgeries will not produce optimal results until at least a year after the surgery was performed. Finally, as with all surgeries, cosmetic surgery does come with inherent risks and dangers.

More and more people are giving laser hair removal a shot! If you’re not into this hot, new treatment, then you’ve come to the right place. Imagine never having to deal with messy creams. Imagine talking to the grocery clerk and not having her stare at the hair on your upper lip. Imagine never having to hide your precious parts at the beach.
Stop imagining! You can make your dreams of hairless summers and hairless winters come true. First of all I believe it’s important for women and men to find out what causes abnormal hair growth before they start drastic measure to remove it. Doctors say hair usually grows abnormally due to hormones. Once you’ve determined whether you have health concerns related to your hair, then you can decide on the appropriate remedy.
I can tell you lasers are safe and effective in the removal of unwanted hair. A trained specialist can help you determine what treatment is best for you using your skin and hair type. With lasers you don’t have to worry about shaving, tweezing, or waxing now and forever. Forever sounds like a long time, doesn’t it? Lasers produce a beam of light that is used to remove hair. The light passes through the skin to the hair follicle. Once it gets to the hair it basically kills it. Neat, huh? The process only takes less than an hour.
Lasers are attracted to dark colors. You’ll get the best results if your hair is darker than your complexion. You’re wondering if the laser has any side effects. It does if you have a tan. Tanning and lasering leads to burning. Ouch, it really hurts so you’ll want to beware of adding the two in combo. Also, it’s important to note that the laser doesn’t do a thing for blondes, white or gray haired people.
If you’re not ready to give lasers a shot, then there are several other techniques on the market that can help you get rid of your hair-raising problem. Let’s talk about the only permanent hair removal known to man right now. It’s called electrolysis. If you’re scared of needles, then this is not the treatment for you. You’ll want to make sure that you have not waxed or tweezed within a few days of having a treatment. This makes the hair follicle easier for the electrologist to reach.
The electrologist inserts a tiny needle into each hair follicle and uses a short impulse of energy to kill the root. Sounds, cool, huh? The hair is tweezed out one at a time. Sounds like an awfully long process. However, it only takes a few hours. You will most likely need more than one treatment to kill all of your hair. There are electrolysis kits that you can use at home, but I wouldn’t recommend it. You’re better off using a licensed electrologist.
Speaking of problems, what’s yours? Everyone has a specific area of the body where they want to be bald. Women usually hate facial hair on their upper lips, chin and sides of face. Hairs in those areas don’t seem to bother men that much! Okay, I shouldn’t joke about it! Hair on the lip is very troubling to most women. It can be removed using a bleaching procedure.
Bleaching works if your hair is similar in color to your skin. Be careful, bleaching lightens hair in dark complexions. I’ll never forget someone with a dark complexion once asked me if she could use a depilatory creams on the lip. No way, don’t even think! My response was fast and furious. Depilatories are harsh on sensitive skin and should never be placed on the lips or eyes areas.
The important thing to remember about depilatories is you should use them on the legs and thighs only. Depilatory creams dissolve the keratin in hair. As you can imagine that’s some pretty strong stuff! Be sure to test patches of skin before you put the cream on. The cream can cause rashes and skin discolorations. It is possible to treat a negative reaction with an anti-bacterial solution and antibiotic.
Waxing on the other hand is a great way to remove hair from the legs and thighs and bikini area. Your skin will feel so clean, smooth and soft after this procedure. Waxing doesn’t irritate your skin the way shaving and creams do. However, waxing is a temporary hair removal procedure. Waxing is similar to the sugaring procedure that is also temporary.
Sugaring is becoming more popular for people who want to be hairless in the bikini area. The sugar is warmed not at all like the high heat that’s used in waxing. The warmed sugar is placed on the skin. Your technician will then remove the sugar with muslin strips. The sugar sticks mostly to the hair and not the skin. That makes it easier when it’s time to remove the hair. I highly recommend sugaring because the red bumps and other skin irritations are minimized with it.
You’re daring, right? You want a bikini wax, but you want it all over. Then, you’ll have to try what is called a Brazilian bikini wax. Have you ever been to Brazil? The natives are not at all ashamed of their bodies. The Brazilian wax removes hair all over the pubic area including the labia and buttocks. You can tell your technician how far to go, or not go. A patch of hair is sometimes left above the vagina.
Now, the procedure for getting a Brazilian wax is the same just about as with a bikini wax. You’ll be given a paper thong if you’re a little shy to put on for Brazilian bikini wax. Your hair will be cut using some scissors. The wax is then put on using a wooden stick. Strips of cloth are used to take the hair off. Tweezers are sometimes used to pick away stray hairs. Some folk’s say it hurts, others swear it works magic to improve their self-esteem and body image. You now have choices whether it’s shavers and creams or lasers and wax. You no longer have to live with a hair-raising experience. Get rid of it! The choice is yours.

“Why the heck should I wear sunglasses” you ask? “They are too awkward” others may say. I’m telling you, wearing sunglasses can prevent a multitude of problems and this article will hopefully show you just that.
In this article I will discuss the four major benefits that wearing sunglasses carry, and in the process you will be able to decide whether or not they are worth their weight.
UV Protection - I don’t need to tell you the hazards of being exposed to UV rays for a prolonged period of time — But I will anyways. Cataracts and cancer of the eye are just a few of the major problems that can be caused by UV rays. By wearing sunglasses on bright days, and around reflective surfaces like water and bright snow, many of these problems can be completely avoided.
Safety - Everyone always stresses the point of wearing safety glasses, and I agree. The problem is, not everyone remembers the benefits of wearing sunglass type safety glasses. You don’t want to be in a sticky situation where the suns glare could force an accident!
Fashion - Ok, so this one is a given - By finding a pair of sunglasses that works well on your body style you may just decide to wear them forever. Seriously though; sunglasses have their place in social gatherings, and everybody knows somebody that looks great in shades. By testing different sunglasses out, you can too.
Performance - Ever wonder why so many athletes wear sunglasses? I know I did until I found out about the different strengths that lens colors and technologies can have. Not only can lenses cut out glare, but many of them work well for varying types of sports. Some lens colors improve depth perception, while others work well in blocking out blue light.
Are those reasons enough for you? Get out that pocket book and head to your local fashion shop… You have a pair of sunglasses to buy!
