Get your hands on some white and coloured sky lanterns (also recognized as wish lanterns) and let your kids decorate them with paint, crayons, sparkle, featherings and any other materials you can find about the home. After decorating sky lanterns you may either display them or dry them (if wet), then issue them on birthday party or any other occasion, the youngsters will love them because its them who decorated them and they know they did a big job making so.The minors will be proud to show their originative attempts to their household and admirers and will please in seeing them up in the sky with everybody watching together. It’s a great mode to spend a great second with your household.

Poker is a game that rewards calculated risk and punishes recklessness. In any given game, the player that utilizes the best stratagem for risk and reward, is usually rewarded more frequently. This can be shown mathematically through the concept known as variance. Let’s take a hand like AA. A player who plays AA strongly will, over the course of time, win more consistenly with it if he plays it strongly every time he gets it. The risks in the scenario are basically broken down into two categories. One is how much capital is risked (the bet) and two is how the hand is played (the strategy). If one opts to make a strong bet, driving other poker online players out of the pot, he is limiting the risk in his strategy. A big bet with AA, means less players are going to follow you to the flop, which means generally the pot is going to be smaller. However, because you cut down on the risk of being drawn out on due to variance and probability, you will be rewarded more often albeit in a smaller manner.
However, if you are dealt AA and you opt to limp in or make a much smaller bet preflop, and you allow more players to join you in the pot, the pot will be considerably larger by the time the river rolls around. You should note though, that the reward, while bigger, is less consistent. You are risking your equity in the hand by allowing more poker online players in the pot with your strong hand. With more players in the pot, there are more chances that one of them will draw to a stronger hand than your AA and thus you will be rewarded more when you do win but will be rewarded less often because you took a greater risk in playing the hand weakly.
You can take these concepts and apply them to any situation in poker. If the risk is greater, then the reward will also be greater, but the frequency of reward will be lower. These two concepts work on a continuum. So the next time you get a hand like AA or KK, think about the risk you’re willing to take, and then think about the reward you’re looking to gain. If you do the calculations based on this continuum, you will be able to easily decide if you want to gamble with more players to win a bigger pot, or gamble with fewer players but take down a smaller pot more often.

Greg Raymer. This guy is proving he is worth his salt over and over again. Since he won the WSOP on 2004, he has made it to a few WSOP final tables and has been an active figure in the Poker Player’s Alliance (PPA) forging to protect poker online in America. In the $40,000 buy-in event, Raymer got to the final table and showed he had some new tricks up his sleeve.
In an early hand, he raised late position with A, 9 and Justin Bonomo, a well known “young internet player” moved in on him with AJ. Raymer had considerably more chips than his opponent and he called. He was pretty shocked when Bonomo turned over as good of cards as he held. Raymer even said, “I though you had any two”. This statement proves Raymer has come a long way over the years. ‘Any two’ means any two cards. Raymer saying this means he thought Bonomo was on a ‘re-steal’ of his late-position opening bet. If he thought this was true, Raymer might even attempt calling lighter than he did, maybe even King high. Unfortunately for Raymer, he was wrong and lost a lot of chips.
If anything, this fist episode shows how far poker online has come, and how fun it will be to look at the new high level of play, where young online poker players and live poker professionals duke it out, each displaying their newfound skills at destroying the other.
In the end, a young online pro, Isaac Haxton, dueled with Russian bracelet holder Vitaly Lunkin. The swings were drastic and the lead changed often, but it was one to remember. Cheers to the start of another great WSOP season on ESPN!

Most intermediate online poker players are familiar with the concept that when faced with a super aggressive casino table, the best response is to tighten up and play an even more close game than usual. But what about at tables where getting action feels like squeezing blood out of a rock? How can you still make money when nobody will call your bets unless they have the nuts, causing you to often either win a small pot or lose a big one, or more so, not get any action at all? Though it can be more slow going than the response of tightening at a loose poker online table, the alternate response of widening your range against players who are playing too tight can help get things going. Raising with a wider range of hands, particularly in position, will often let you pick up blinds, and, when you do get callers, firing into the flop when they likely have missed will slowly but surely continue to add to your stack. While in a regular game you might limp with suited connectors or small pairs, raising with them becomes often a more profitable action. In tables where straddling is allowed, raising the action by this manner can get a table’s blood flowing, ready to try to correct your ‘reckless’ behavior.

Many poker beginners try to see as many flops as possible. This is hardly ever a winning strategy, as beginners don’t have the post flop tools to evaluate where they are in the hand respective to their opponents. The sole reason why the strategy of seeing a lot of cheap flops is effective for some players is because they are expert hand readers and have a good feel of where they are at in any hand. If this is not you, then consider the following cautions about limping preflop.
Limping is particularly troublesome in that it doesn’t allow you to establish the strength of your poker hand. By establishing your hand as a strong one, you instill fear in your opponents, and discourage them from calling you down if you miss the flop and need to continuation bet or bluff to win the pot. If you just limp in and miss the flop, you have not established that you have any kind of a strong holding, and your chance of taking down the pot uncontested decreases greatly. Raising preflop knocks out other potential limpers, and can also fold out the small and big blind, as they will be weary of getting in a confrontation out of position with a seemingly weaker holding than yours.
Another thing poker novices like to do is limp a monster hand like pocket kings or pocket aces in an attempt to trap someone. This is especially stupid, as slow playing one pair and overvaluing it on the river is a good way to lose your stack. The range of hands that pays you off when you slow play then make a huge raise on the river is very narrow compared to the range that folds or reraises you with a better holding. Limping a big pair from under the gun or from early position then reraising a raise from a late position bettor is a bad play as well, as it clearly defines the strength of your hand to an opponent in position, so he has the positional advantage to make a perfect play against you after the flop. By raising initially when the action is on you, you establish that you have a strong hand, but also leave the margin of doubt that you could be doing something crazy from early position. Only sprinkle in limps from time to time to throw off your opponents reads, but always be careful and recognize the problems associated with limping.

Throwing a Christmas party this year? You can be creative with a themes like Charlie Brown Christmas or make your party a real bash with fun Christmas party games. Go back and forth between the two teams so that everyone on each team gets a turn, with the host acting like the scorekeeper. For added suspense and fun, offer a prize or party favor to the winning team.
Mix the song list with popular Christmas songs that every knows, like Jingle Bells and new Christmas hits like “Grownup Christmas Wish,” which might be a bit more challenging and fun too.

A poker player often relishes the chance to play in a larger game then they are accustomed to. In other activities like sports, one must wait until they are competent at the next level of play before they can move up, but in poker, all it takes is a minimum buy-in to play in a game above one’s pay grade. You must be aware of the environment you are stepping into, and process all pertinent information of the situation in order to make your shot a profitable one.
The most important way to make your shot a successful one is that you play your game. By this, I mean that you must play the same style you are accustomed to playing in your regular game. You must block out of your head that you are playing in a larger game, or you will feel uncomfortable and play either too tight or too loose, and make poor decisions based not on the situation the play takes place in, but rather the money on the table. Allowing your opponents to put you to a decision based on the proportionally larger loss you stand to take gives them an easy time in taking your buy in. If you play your game, get your money in when you want to get it in, and put other players to decisions, you will have a profitable session, given variance swings your way as well.
A good way to make yourself comfortable is to take a shot after a large winning session in which you aren’t chasing losses, but rather taking a calculated, premeditated shot at a higher limit when you are play is at it’s sharpest, and your confidence in your game is high.
Another approach to take that may prove your shot lucrative is to diligently search for the best game available. Only sit if you know there is a weaker player that you can exploit while learning the ropes in a higher limit. You absolutely do not want to be the player that everyone is gunning for, and by joining a game built around another weaker player, the inevitable holes in your game at that level will not be as transparent to your opponents.
Shot taking is an inevitable part of the game. If your skills are progressing, you are going to want to move up to a more difficult game with higher stakes, and by making sure you are evaluating the situation properly, you can ensure your success in your endeavor.
